Quieting the mind will squelch negative thoughts/emotions. Every spiritual and religious tradition has techniques that help you quiet the mind: meditation, singing hymns, yoga, etc. It gives us the opportunity to hear the voice of God instead of the negativity.
Dr. Masuro Emoto’s experiments with water clearly show the power and energy of thought. Anything that affects water affects our bodies greatly, since we are 70% or more water.
Beautiful music has an organizing affected on water; chaotic music such as heavy metal has a disorganized affect. Emoto says that a person''s name provides information just like photos can give us energetic information because the person’s name gives us an energetic signature. Negative words do not have the ability to create beautiful hexagonal images. Water understands the message. Positive words in any language have an organizing affect upon the shape of the water and the ability to form hexagonal shapes. There is the same effect upon the water whether it is spoken, written or thought in the mind. Love, thanks and gratitude, no matter the language, seem to have the greatest effect on the water crystals. An experiment on rice has been tried over and over again in Japan: Cooked rice is place in two glass jars and covered; one bottle is labeled YOU FOOL and the other labeled THANK YOU. After one month the jar labeled YOU FOOL looks like a black cancer is growing inside and the jar labeled THANK YOU still holds white rice growing beneficial bacteria.
In POWER VS FORCE, David Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D. explains how he was able to calibrate human emotions. He determined that above 200 is consciousness and below 200 is unconscious. For example, fear is calibrated at 100 and shame is calibrated at 20. See his book for more information and a chart.
Important to note: the ladder on which we ascend from the darkness of misunderstanding to consciousness and understanding, is one we must climb ourselves. No one can force us or do it for us. We need to be better stewards of our energetic selves. We need to remove the lower, denser energies to return us to our natural state.
Here are some important rules to be aware of regarding energy:
1. Like energy begets like energy.
2. Doing things below the line pulls you below the line
3. There is no such thing as "hovering." One is either moving up or down the vibrational scale with every thought, activity, emotion, attitude and so on.
4. Things above the line have the power to take you above the line when you have fallen below the line. You have to know what your higher vibrational things are so when you find yourself in a denser field, you can reach quickly into your tool chest of "above the line living" and can get back to it quickly. It could be as simple as petting the cat.
5. Things below the line do not have the power to take you above the line - no matter how unfair that seems.
6. You can not cheat in this energy game. For instance, if you write a letter that puts someone down, takes away their power or makes them wrong, then sign the letter “with Love and Light”, the whole letter lies below the line.
7. NO ONE ELSE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR FALLING BELOW THE LINE; however, others do influence (sometimes greatly) our ability to stay above the line. Therefore, we must be very careful of the company we keep. You can not afford to energetically finance those lower vibrational relationships.
8. It is easier to stay above the line when we surround ourselves with others who stay above the line.
9. True happiness exists above the line.
10. People who spend a lot of time below the line do not necessarily want to live above the line. If they thrive on dark or upset energy, it is necessary for them to stay there to get their energy (energetic vampire). Most don't consciously know they are energy vampires. Chronic malcontents who love to be upset are vampires. The way you identify it is by paying attention to how you feel in your body when you are around them.
11. It is not your job to get others out of darkness or above the line. You have enough work to do to keep yourself above the line. This does not mean that we aren't to help others, but first we must help ourselves. True service will naturally come from us when we live in a loving state above the line.
12. A teeny bit of light eradicates the darkness. Be a light - an example.
13. You will fall below the line. DO NOT PANIC AND JUDGE YOURSELF, as your self criticism only gets you more time below the line. Acknowledge where you are and DO SOMETHING ABOVE THE LINE TO get you back there, fast.
14. After continued practice and perseverance at staying above the line, it does get easier staying above the line.
15. For those traveling the "path of enlightenment" time below the line seems inevitable. This time helps us understand the suffering and trials of others and helps us develop needed compassion, empathy and understanding. so, from that perspective, time at any place in the game is valuable.
16. Add your own rules and you gain greater understanding.
Remember that this Above the Line/Below the Line Model can be used for any profession or situation. For example, a teacher can use the model to show students items below the line as bullying, tattling, taking things belonging to others etc. and above the line as sharing, helping others, picking up after themselves, etc.
When your family, friends and associates become aware of this model, you can help each other climb the ladder by using language that corrects the problem without adding negativity (such as telling them they are nagging, complaining, whatever). Just call them out as having “below the line” behavior and they will get the meaning!
Remember the wisdom and the power of words:
- We can no longer pretend that the words that we think, speak and write are meaningless.
- Words have the power to uplift or destroy, to harm or to heal
- Words are energy vibrating at its own unique frequency.
- We need to become more effective stewards of our energy fields, building up our forces and creating peace in our bodies.
