Is the ionSpa® safe for everyone?

The footbath is contraindicated for:

  • Persons with a pacemaker or any other battery-operated or electrical implant
  • Pregnant women and breast-feeding mothers
  • Organ transplant recipients

    • Important - Users must be aware of the following:

  • Persons should not wear metal, use a compute or cellular phone during an ionSpa® session
  • Persons with low blood sugar should eat before using the ionSpa®
  • Though not dangerous, persons with metal joint implant(s) may find exposure to the electromagnetic field generated by the ionSpa® to be uncomfortable.  In the event of discomfort, stop using the ionSpa® immediately.  You may try lowering the power setting to a comfortable level.
  • Persons taking prescription medication should take meds after or four hours prior to their ionSpa® session
  • Because the ionSpa® is designed to eliminate toxins that the kidney and liver cannot eliminate on their own, as a general rule it may be used by persons on dialysis or by those diagnosed with diabetes or congestive heart failure. However, persons with these conditions, or any other medical condition, should consult their physician prior to implementing the ionSpa® as part of their wellness program.
  • As the ionSpa® pulls toxins from the bloodstream, it may also cause valuable electrolytes (calcium, potassium, sodium and magnesium) to be purged from the body. To safeguard against this possibility, users are encouraged to take a multivitamin supplement that provides the aforementioned minerals as well as fatty acids and vitamin C.  (All persons having a session in our office will be given 8 ounces of Want More Energy electrolyte drink prior to the session.) Because overuse of the ionSpa® can deplete the body of nutrients and lower energy levels, please follow usage/frequency instructions carefully to derive optimum results.
  • Users should be properly hydrated prior to each ionSpa® session.

    • Are there any side effects from a session in the ionSpa®?

    Each person’s experience will vary each session. As with any detoxification program, there is always the chance of a mild Healing Crisis from a session in the ionSpa®
