How does Wonder Patch work?

Wonder Patch eases aches and pains by means of heat. This is not like a chili plaster or ‘deep heat’ idea. It uses the far infrared to stimulate the reflex points on the soles of the feet (but do it while you sleep).  By so doing, the product can affect whole body circulation.  That requires an acceptance of the idea of reflexology. The other way in which to put this idea across is by reference to empirical testing.  Empirical in this instance means that by using a thermal imaging camera, we can observe changes due to the presence of the patch on the soles of the feet.

What Wonder Patch is therefore doing is to encourage ‘self-healing’ by promoting improved circulation.  It does not heal or cure anything by putting an active ingredient into the body.  When you cut yourself and the doctor puts stitches in, the stitch does not heal the wound – your body closes up the wound and the stitches simply buy time for your body to get the done.  Therefore muscular aches and pains that result from poor circulation will ease up.  If the problem is not dependent on circulation, Wonder Patch does not help.

Why apply it to the soles of the feet?

Circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids reach their furthest point in the soles of the feet before being returned to the higher portions of the body. Because the lymphatic fluids do not have a pumping system (as the circulatory system has the heart), it relies upon sufficient motion and bodily activity to precipitate fluid motion. Unfortunately in today's society, seemingly too much of our time is spent sitting in front of computers or driving in cars - sedimentary activities that create stagnation of the lymph in the ankles and lower legs.  The ingredients of the Wonder Patch promote circulation in this area by drawing the toxins out of the feet, where the largest pores in the body allow the larger particles to be released from the lymphatic fluids. This process can cleanse, revitalize, and strengthen the body's immune system to promote natural healing and restoration that the immune system was designed to perform.

According to Chinese medical knowledge, our human body has over 360 acupuncture points, with more than 60 acupuncture points found on the soles of the foot. These points are the reflective zones of our major internal organs, they are also potential homes for toxins. When the blood circulates to the soles, the Wonder Patch can absorb toxins released from the acupuncture points. The Wonder Patch comes in a white sachet that is applied to the soles of the feet. After only one night of body detox, there may be significant changes to the smell and color of the sachet (from brown to grayish black) as it reflects the amount and degree of toxins which were extracted from the body. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why is the patch sometimes wet and sometimes not?

The powder material is hygroscopic (attracts water) – effectively you have put a ‘sink’ against the skin when using the patch.  If there is excess fluid accumulation at the point of the body where the patch is applied or if used at the bottom of the feet, then the patch will most likely be wet. If the patch is applied to a joint or location where there is no excess fluid retention, then the powder will remain relatively dry even after several hours use. This does not mean the patch has no effect because the Far Infrared effect is still present when the powder in the bag remains dry.

The patch turns brown when it is wet but you get different shades of brown depending on the user.

If the patch is dry, can I reuse it?

No.  Once a patch has been used, it will be slightly moist and for hygiene purposes, this is not recommended. The choice is yours.

Is it safe to use?

Wonder Patch does not put anything into your body. It merely supports your body’s own function and in that respect, it is very safe. The powder is mildly acidic, but not more so than the naturally acidity of the skin.

Wonder Patch has been independently tested to ensure that it does not contain heavy metals like lead and mercury.

I have used the patch and my joints hurt even more!  Why is that?

This is most likely a healing process.  Users who experience this will most likely have chronic complaints.  The stimulation of reflex points and associated circulation will act to assist the body in it recovery process. It is most likely that such users will find that the discomfort is tolerable and will disappear after a few days use of the patch.  Another way to view this is to relate to the experience of those who have tried acupressure on the feet.  It hurts sometimes during or after a massage session but recovery afterwards is promoted.

How is Wonder Patch different to similar products?

The Process for the manufacture of Wonder Patch is patent pending. The key points relating to product effectiveness and therefore consumer value are:

 A. Concentration of active ingredient per gram of powder. Liquid wood vinegar is powdered by attaching the vinegar to a starch base. The ratio of vinegar to starch is a critical difference. In Wonder Patch, there is a 50:50 ratio during manufacture, effectively saturating the powder and to ensure the highest concentration possible even after natural evaporative loss. This means 50% wood vinegar concentration during manufacture. The typical wood vinegar powder in other similar products is comprises between 20-30% of wood vinegar during manufacture.

 B. The total number of grams of powder in the bag. Wonder Patch uses 5g net weight of powder compared to 3.5 – 4g in similar products. The reason for the increased weight of powder is because the effect of the product stops once all the powder is wet. Generally, this patch is used just before sleep and the average person sleeps for between 7-8 hours. With 25% more powder, we are able to extend the capacity of the product to about 7-8 hours use to match the average sleep pattern.

Some patches leak with wetness after use and turn hard. Wonder patch does not. Why?

The leakage is due mainly to the issue of total absorption capacity as mentioned in point 8 above. Wonder Patch has higher storage capacity and so does not leak so easily. Furthermore, Wonder Patch has used a special softer type of material for the patch bag that acts like a diaper. This is to reduce the incidence of a sticky mess after use as well as to allow users to wrap the patch around parts of the body where necessary.

Wonder Patch does not harden after use simply because there is much less starch in the powder.
