Andrew Alsberge, part time Receptionist, IT specialist and all around fabulous office help has started classes at Texas State. Andrew is in training to be a Biofeedback Specialist and is available for demos on our Quantum Biofeedback Device, the EPFX..
Annie Buckman, Annie got her original education in Hawaii where the requirements for massage therapy were much higher than Texas at the time. Annie audited classes at ACC to make sure she had the knowledge to pass our State Boards. We eagerly offered her employment when we experienced her skills!
Sverrir Hjaltason, former Olympic Wrestler, understands the need for competent structural bodywork. He has been a deep-tissue specialist for 16 years. Sverrir visits Austin for one week each month. Call 512.388.2243 for his schedule and to book your appointment.
Bethany Jezik is our 20 year veteran. Her specialties are Cranial Sacral Therapy and Lymphatic Drainage. Bethany is an instructor of these modalities- watch this site for classes. Bethany is associated with VIA (Veterans Initiative Alliance) and is focused on bringing veterans to the Center. Her desire is to do medically based therapies for all patrons of our clinic.
Sarah Lemire has been a team member since 2006 and is continuing her formal education at ACC with classes in nutrition and health. Sarah is also a Kroeger therapist and fill-in Receptionist.
Stacey Lemire founded Healing Touch Therapies in 1997 and originally opened her practice in her home in NW Austin. In April 2006, Stacey moved the practice to the Burnet Road location and began adding staff to serve the greater Austin area. Stacey is a full time instructor at ACC and continues to substitute teach at TLC. Her specialty is releasing the emotional components of muskulo-skeletal pain. She uses relaxation and clinical techniques along with breathwork, coaching, detoxification and Quantum Biofeedback to assist her clients in achieving greater health.
Tom Lemire is a mobile therapist and continues to make himself available to see clients at Healing Touch Therapies when the need arises. He has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2003 and his specialty is Myofascial Release and Deep Tissue work.
Jeff Potts, instructor at ACC has a wide variety of bodywork modalities to use in a session. In addition to his clinical modalities, he is trained in Lomi Lomi and Shiatsu techniques. Jeff is heavily involved with getting the Asian Bodywork Program up and running at ACC. At the Center, Jeff would like to focus his area of expertise in spine recovery.
Hunt Self, instructor at TLC and Certified Fitness Counselor, had his background is in Hospital Administration (Army). He specializes in structural bodywork and incorporates Cranial Sacral techniques. While he has the occasional relaxation clients he is working more with injury recovery and overuse issues. Hunt volunteers massage to veterans in San Antonio every other Friday.
Jean Shaw, Quantum Touch and Reiki Master has been awarded a Bachelors in Metaphysical Sciences and is currently writing papers for her Masters (subject: St. Germaine and Spirituality) and her Ph.D. (paper will be directed towards parents and recognizing spirituality in their children and how to deal with it). Jean was our faithful receptionist two days a week for over a year until her studies required her undivided attention. She is available most days for sessions and will be teaching her modalities when our classroom space is ready. Quantum Touch is being recognized for massage therapy CEs by the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards, so Jean will soon be teaching the class in our new space!
